Storytelling and activities with Books in the Woods
Books in the Woods are excited to join the BerkoFest Children's Book Festival, where we will be hosting a stand to share a flavour of our woodland playgroup experience. Our parent-volunteers will be reading some of our favourite stories, with themed activities and a nature trail available for the children to enjoy. To celebrate the Month of June being Pride month, we'll be embracing the theme of colour and kindness, alongside our usual focus on nature, with some wonderful preschool stories celebrating positive messages of diversity and being yourself.
Suitable for parents and their little ones under 5 years of age.
As Books in the Woods is run by parent volunteers, we are always keen to welcome more people into our team. Please come and talk to us about if you might like to get involved – readers, organisers, creating activities, baking, blog writing, there are so many opportunities, and we'd love to see what skills you might bring to our group.
About Books in the Woods
Books in the Woods is a welcoming, woodland playgroup, inspired by children's books and passionate about children's literature. We are run by a group of parent-volunteers, who bring along our own little ones to enjoy the fun. Join us with your picnic rugs to listen to a wonderful story read by one of our parent-volunteers, or a guest author, followed by some activities and free play in the woods.
Books in the Woods meet weekly in the ancient woods of Ashridge, and have recently started a 'Berkhamsted Branch', running monthly in Rectory Lane Cemetery.
Join our closed Facebook group for more information, and to book onto a session. Suitable for parents and their little ones under 5 years of age .Link:https://linktr.ee/BITW2021
