Is there car parking on site?

No. but there is plenty of parking available throughout the Town.

On a Saturday there isn’t any available free street parking.

On a Sunday there is limited free street parking on the High Street and surrounding streets.

For both days, behind the Town Hall there is a fee-paying municipal car park. Also nearby is the Town’s multi story car park on Lower King’s Road.

Are there public transport links?

Yes, Berkhamsted Railway Station is on the main line for services from London Euston and Milton Keynes (Euston to Berkhamsted is a 35-minute journey). Regular bus services run from Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Amersham and Chesham, with bus stops nearby. Both venues are an approximate 10 minute walk from the railway station]

Are dogs allowed on site?

No dogs are allowed except for guide dogs.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

You may bring a limited amount of food and non-alcoholic drink, but no glass is allowed.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

You are not permitted to bring alcohol onto the sites. This is a condition of our licence.

Can I have a refund on my ticket?

There are no refunds on any tickets purchased and reselling your ticket for profit or commercial gain makes it void.

What are the ticketing arrangements?

Children’s Author Event

Each ticket purchase is an All Day Ticket which entitles the ticket holder's children access to each individual author session, subject to capacity. Also each child can participate in the other available activities. Maximum 2 adults and 4 children [U14] per family ticket.

What about Covid?

The event will be managed in line with the current guidance at the time from the UK Government, the Meetings Industry Association, and the Events Industry Forum.

Regarding masks, if at the time of the event, its optional to wear them, our preference would be to wear them whilst walking about any venue.
